Unfortunately, this period is sometimes missed by the women. Consider some important points calculate your ovulation period to get pregnant quickly:

1. Understand the natural menstrual cycle

A woman’s menstrual cycle is a range from the first day of menstruation to the first day of menstruation in the next month. The range is needed to calculate a woman’s menstrual cycle and fertility.

The normal cycle length is 28 days but some women may experience different average period cycle which is 21-35 days.

Calculation fertile period of a woman depends on their menstrual cycle. Keep in mind that the length of a woman’s menstrual cycle can be different every month. It is because of the influence of hormones, stress, food, or your activities.

Therefore, it is important to record and calculate your menstrual cycle every month yes!

2. Ovulation period for normal cycle length

For women with normal menstrual cycles of 28 days and regularly every month, then to calculate the fertile window is very easy. Ovulation period occurs 14 days before the next menstruation

Calculate the ovulation period in a normal period length is quite easy. Only need to subtract 14 days before the first menstruation in the following month then that is the first day of fertility and is estimated to be 2-4 days afterwards.

For example, if this month your first menstrual day is March 3, then add 28 (according to the normal cycle length), which is March 31. Then 31 is reduced by 14 and found 31-14 = 17, so March 17 is your fertile or ovulation period and is estimated to be 2-4 days after that.

2. Ovulation period for irregular cycle length

For women with different menstrual cycle lengths each month, what needs to be do is to count the shortest and longest from their natural menstrual cycles.

Then, the shortest cycle is reduced by 18 to find the first day of fertility, while the last day of the fertile window is sought by the longest cycle, minus 11. For example, if the shortest cycle is 25 days and the longest cycle is 31 days, then:

  • First day of ovulation period: 25-18 = 7
  • The last day of ovulation period: 30-11 = 19

Then estimate your ovulation cycle is on the 7th day after the first day of menstruation until the 19th day thereafter.

If you have trouble calculating it manually, various online calendar applications are available. Simply record the first day of menstruation and the duration of each month.
